Installed Drivers & Hibernate Issues
 

I am new with being a Linux admin since I installed it on my laptop and I was curious how I figure out if my sound and video card drivers are properly installed or if I am using some generic drivers?

Also, in Fedora 10, I set it up to Hibernate when I shut my laptop lid. When I hit the power button to turn it back on, the laptop lights came back up but the screen stayed blank for a couple minutes until I hard-cycled the laptop. Any ideas why it didn't come back up or does it take 5+ minutes? Thanks for your help!

did you try just moving the mouse so the locked screen will ask for a password to open the desktop.
if that does not work sorry fedora is never stable and is a testing bed for redhat It comes down to your machine your bios and other there settings.
