Installation problems
Im trying to install the latest slackware on my new workstation.
I have an asus P4P800, 80 gig hd and 2400 P4 800 fsb with 2x256 twinmx corsair ram. when i boot from the slackware image i burned, i have to load a kernel. i take the default kernel, and it gives a kernel error. I tried all kernels that are in there... always an error win xp worked fine on that station. Does the slackware kernels not support dual channel ? or the latest hardware perhaps ? Or do i have to built my own kernel would be nice to help me out thx |
Giving us the exact error might help us help you.. as we can't read minds or assume what the problem is. ;)
