Installation problem: openldap with SSL

I am trying to install secure ldap on ubuntu using a Self-signed Certificate but in the end of the installation i have a problem that I can't find the solution.
I am using this tutorial http://islandlinux.org/howto/install...ed-certificate since I am a rookie on linux.
I follow every step succesfully since I have to type this command "openssl s_client -connect YOUR_LDAP_SERVER:1001-showcerts".

the output is:

CONNECTED(00000003)
140452484380320:error:140790E5:SSL routines:SSL23_WRITE:ssl handshake failure:s23_lib.c:177:
---
no peer certificate available
---
No client certificate CA names sent
---
SSL handshake has read 0 bytes and written 226 bytes
---
New, (NONE), Cipher is (NONE)
Secure Renegotiation IS NOT supported
Compression: NONE
Expansion: NONE
---

what am i doing wrong?

thanks a lot for the answers..

(excuse my english!)
