Installation problem


How much sapce is needed in hard disk to install full 12.1 slackware dvd?

i allocated 5.25 GB but it shows me a error that disk full!!!!

how much more should i add space?

Hallo!!!!
As long as I know some types of linux as Fedora need virtual partition of the disk to set up the "image" of installation.
I suggest you to check for manually format of your disk and then format it like the minimum it demand....(sorry if my English are terrible).

I would go for 10Gb, I used Slackware until 11.
Slackware claim they need 5GB, but I have read reports where 6Gb was not enough ... so go safe for 10Gb.

I would suggest that you read the documentation that PV has provided; Announce 12.1, Slackware-Howto, CHANGES_AND_HINTS.TXT, UPGRADE.TXT. Plus the other text files relevant to your needs.

The suggested full install is about 4.5GB. So to increase the hdd partition(s) space to 10 GB would be sufficient.
