installation on mercury motherboard


i have a problem installing ubuntu in my computer that has a mercury motherboard when it reaches the hardware abstraction it cannot be able to approve the network manager it takes long till the screen goes blank plis help it works well with windows xp sp2

You need to post some specifics about exactly what error messages you're getting, what hardware you have (network card, video card, etc.) if you expect help. I'm betting you have a problem with the video card. Try using safe video mode.
