Installation of MANDRIVA LINUX ONE 2009
I have recently downloaded a free version of Mandriva 2009 to intall it on an HP Proliant.
The name of the downloaded file is "mandriva-linux-one-2009-beta-KDE4-int-cdrom-i586" and its type is ISO.
I have never dealt with files of this sort (ISO) and have always installed Linux from a set of CD's. Could anyone tell me how to proceed?
To save you time, let me just add that I tried two options:
1- I just inserted the cd with the file in it as is, and nothing happened, i.e the system does not boot from it.
2- I used winrar and uncompressed it, the result was a few directories and files. I copied everything in a CD and tried to boot the system with it and again nothing happened!!
Your help is most welcome
