Installation of Linux on FAT32


hi all!
i am new to linux and also to this forum.
i want to install linux on my machine on which i already have win2k pro installed, three partitions are exist on my hdd (all FAT32), can i install linux with minimal configurations (but also want gui interface and network enabled) on existing partition, i mean on FAT32. i just downloaded Mandrake 9.2. is it possible??? how?

no, linux requiers a substantially better file system than Fat32 to run on. if you only want to install linux to have a go, try a cdrom version, like demolinux or knoppix.

or you could just wipe out one of the Fat32 partition if it's big enough... install linux on there to do a dual boot..you can do this all during the install... selct partition to delete and reformat the partition...
