Question installation of a nic driver


Hey, guys I am having trouble installing a nic driver on red hat, the network section did not appear during the installation but the pc still detecs a nic.How can I install the driver in command prompt?

I have also been reading up and ran ifconfig eth0 and it tunes me that such a device does not exist,although it shows in redhat-config-network pleasseeee!!!! If anyone can give me a tip or 2 I would really appreciate it

hi...can u issue this command in your command prompt and return to me the output:

/sbin/lspci |grep -i net

... i wish to help.

Thanks bro, but I decided to go and by a pci nic,I have noticed that in the forum this happens with onboard nic's. Just put in the card about 10min ago and it works beautifully!! Thanks again for your trouble!
