Hi, is there any way to avoid depedencies thought suse 10.1? I mean can the package manage or an external program that auto download (depedencies) and install them as it installs the package? Is there any way to avoid doing it manually please?

If you want to install something from the cd/dvd, use Control Center -> YaST2 -> Software -> Install and Remove. All packages on the installation media satisfy all dependencies and YaST will automatically select dependencies to install.

If you want to install something you downloaded, you have two choices:
a) install dependencies manually.
b) install apt4suse, and use apt-get to install (which usually also installs dependencies).
