This isn't a reply. I just cant figure out where to ask a question on here. I downloaded and installed Zorin 6.4 on my one machine and it works beautiful. Lone operating system by the way. My older machine seems to only take Ubuntu and it runs slow. I would love to put Zorin on it also, if I could install it. I've tried SUSE and really don't understand it at all. I also tried installing zorin 6 lite, zorin 6.4, zorin 7.1 and zorin 8.1. I love the 6.4, but when I install it the desktop is not readable, everythings blurred real bad. What can I install in my older e machine that will run? I have 1.5 gig ram, an Amd 3000+ processor and have tried numerous hard drives. Will somebody please help me? I am very new to Linux and from what I've seen I like it. By the way I used to run xp on this computer. I formatted the hard drive so theres over 40 gig of space on it. HELP ME SOMEONE, PLEASE! Thank you
Dan

I need help with one of my computers that I've tried to install about 8 different versions of Linux on. Can you answer some questions for me, please?

Is it somehow possible for me to install Zorin 8 in my older desktop?
This thumbnail is... perfect. I think we should document the site this way. Big arrows and explosive red text? Awesome.
looking back its funny to see how many times this thread has changed subjects. To answer the original question:
Use absolute paths, and correct file extensions. That script can be changed into one line of commands. Also, who uses 'zip'? Try tar, or gzip, or even xz!
I installed Zorin 8.1, but even after I put in my password screen will not unlock. Is there a keyboard shortcut to unlock it? I can never find my replies n here. Please write me at my e mail, if you wouldn't mind, so I can ask you some questions. I am so new to Linux. Thank you
danielrh52, please stop posting in this thread. Using the thread of a different person for your own unrelated questions is considered to be rude and not appreciated. I asked a moderator for this sub-forum to move your questions to their own thread, please be patient for the time it needs for that to happen.
