Smile install software dependency package need very difficult.

1. Now i am using RHLE AS3, and i want to use the "cacti"(cacti.net)software for check my office network. First i go to cacti.net to download the RPM package, when i install: # rpm -ivh cacti...... then the error come out said "need below so many depedency software to install first than can install CACTI." I am very headache about it to find all the NEEDED packages2 and install it, so many packages need another more packages2 AHHHH... so IS IT HAVE ANY WAY TO SKIP THOSE DIFFICULT STEP,AND DOWNLOAD THAT PACKAGE(cacti) is ALL INCLUDE THE needed PACKAGES2 than no need to install 1 by 1 package.

ANY WAY INSTALL CACTI EASY?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Does it tell you to manually download/install all the dependencies?Or does it simply prints what it needs and starts installing?

If its the latter, you just have to wait, else, try looking through the RHLE repository to see if you can find cacti there, if it is there, chances are that you'll be able to simply install it from your distro's package manager, with it pulling in all the dependencies.

To answer your question : there's almost no chance to find a CACTI package with all the libraries included : its useless to do that because the package manager should automatically pull in all the necessary dependencies.

Good Luck
