Install Skype again for LM if I have it already on Win 7?

I have skype on Win 7.

I am dual booting Win 7 64 bit with Linux Mint 17.2. and I want to use skype on LM.

I see skype in package manager but, if I already have it do I need to use up more space to install it a second time?

Is there a way to go into the Windows program files from Linux and activate it for LM?

Any help appreciated.

It's not possible the way you think it is. Do you really don't have 44MB to spare?

You have to install it, or use Skype via the browser at https://login.skype.com/login?application=account

thanks for this idea.

The web access appears to be a beta program for skype.

Even though I have used skype via windows for a long time, the web based version says I have to install the plugin for audio and video.
I am guessing I should not install the plugin when I am in windows (I dual boot win 7 and Linux Mint 17.2). Rather I should wait and access skype through FF when I am in Linux.

I just went to skype on the web beta in linux. And there was no plugin message. I guess LM already has the plugin.

Any reason why you don't want to install Skype in Mint?
