Install simplified Chinese into Fedora 9


Hello, guru

Do you know how to install IME tool into Fedora 9? I like to use simplified Chinese input in Fedora 9.

I can't give you any Fedora-specific help, but in general, you need to install either scim or uim, and a corresponding Chinese backend, probably scim-pinyin or uim-pinyin, but there may be other choices.

This page has a good rundown on multi-language support. It's focused on Debian, but the basics are generic enough for most distros.
