Install of Coppermine Gallery

Good Afternoon,

i have a question about FTP at the CentOS Distri.

I installed all my packages without any problems (i must only change the proxy-id).
mySQL is starting at boot, httpd is starting at boot and so on.
BUT
I want install the Coppermine-Gallery (cpg). This is a PHP Freeware-Gallery.
I need FTP-Exchange for this, but i don't know how i can configure this.

Here is the Link to the Gallery: http://coppermine-gallery.net/

I hope you can help me.
Looking forward to the answer (:

Best Regards,
Zitrone

I don't quite understand your question. If all you are wanting to do is install Coppermine-Gallery you can either:

1. Extract the cpg1.5.6.zip file, then upload the cpg15x folder to your webserver (/var/www/html)

2. Upload the cpg1.5.6.zip file to your webserver first then extract it there.

Once you have done that, point your web browser to: http://<your localhostname>/cpg15x to start the install procedure.

Don't forget to change the permissions on the correct folders first for the installation to work.

....
In the attachment are 2 screenshots, that you see what i did done.
It looks like a strange problem, but maybe i make a stupid mistake.

You need a working web server to be able to run the install procedure. So, the first thing you need to do is to make sure that apache (or whatever server you want to use) is running. If you don't want to setup your own web server then you can pick one of the free hosting services available all around the net.

Try typing: http://<the hostname of your server machine here>/cpg15x

If 'coppermine' is the hostname of your server machine also don't forget to use the http://

hxxp://coppermine/cpg15x

Do you have local access to that server? If so, you don't need ftp for anything, just put the files in the document root of your web server. If you don't have local access you might need to set up the ftp server as well (or ssh or whatever else) so you can access remotely.

That's a file browser, you have to use a web browser and point it to whatever directory you have coppermine.

That will usually be http://whatever-ip/coppermine or something like that. That entirely depends on what the root of your www server is. You should start by looking into that "html" directory you have there on the screeny.

with you i found my problem. The problem was something in my DNS-Configuration. He didn't connect over IP on my Gateway, but now it stay up

Now another problem.
The Installation was no problem for me and configure the gallery too, but when i want to connect to my webserver over my "free-access-wlan" and don't can connect. (ip/cpg15x) ..
That is something with my DNS-Namens-Closing i think.
