Hi, i AM ON mandrake 9.1 and I want to install a Mustek digital camera can you tell me how to do it please. Thankyou

if it has usb go to your shell
do a su
then
connect your cam to your usb port turn it on and type
mkdir /mnt/yourcamdir
mount /dev/sda0 /mnt/yourcamdir
if you want write access for all users do the following instead of the above:
mount umask=000 /dev/sda0 /mnt/yourcamdir

Thankyou very much for your help I will try that tommorrow. My mate bullied me into linux mandrake 9.1, installed it running away giggling when I asked him how to do things. I think he is what you would call a Linux snob!!!!! The night has started well on my trip through linux territory and I think now I will abandon Windows completely. Thanks again Mat
