install mandrake 9.1 with 640*480 screen resolution
 

After creating a boot-disk with rawrite, mandrake start the install in graphic mode. BUT not the good resolution. However it goes just after the HD partitioning and than I seem to catch a message saying problem about desktop graphics :rolleyes:. I've tried to install other distribution of linux but they don't find my hard drive.:confused:

have you tried slackware? when booting the install CD you may choose wich kernel to use during the setup. most hard drives are supported in one of those kernels. you may insert the CD into another computer first to read the readme files provided... I don't know about the mandrake install but doesn't it have an option to install in text-mode?
