install Linux on DVD Writer

I am trying to install Linux from my DVD Writer.

But it is not able to find the driver.

Instead i try to install it by copying it to Hard disk but in vain.

Kindly do help me in the matter.

Hi, and welcome to LQ!

What you're trying to achieve won't be possible with
any Linux distro I know off. Use a live-DVD like
Knoppix instead.

What exactly are you after?
