Install linux after windows xppro


Hi, my hard drive contain 40GB and I have divide 15GB to install windows xp pro and remain 25GB unpartition space. Now I want to install redhat linux 9.0 on the unpartition space. Could anyone tell me how to install linux on the unparittion space after install windows xp pro?

Im not sure about redhat but i know in mdk 9.2 and 10.0 i used partition magic to create 2 new partitions, a linux ext2 one and a linux swap drive. I believe the general rule is the swap is mean to be twice the size of you ram but im not sure. Hope this is some kind of help, ive had no experience with red hat though so dont rely on what ive said
