Angry install knoppix on hard drive


O.K. I made a spare partition on my hard disk,I have windows xp,4gb,Have a boot loader set up and can boot into windows,I get as far into the install it tells me I have no swap file and I am lost.thanks ahead of time david

well --- I think that you should let Knoppix create a swap partition on [your partition] --- I imagine XP is on hda1 and your new partition is hda2. How big is hda2??

Thanks hda1 is xp,Some how I have hda2 which says fat32 1000mb and hda3 which is 4000mb david

I found linmagau.org::Australian Linus/OpenSource Magazine http://articles.linmagau.org/modules...d&name=sect... and it was great.I followed his directions and once I did it right I was so happy.alsohttp.//freenet.org.nz/misc/knoppix-install.html was a big help.Now I'm at the point I need to learn the most basic tasks,I don't know how to open files,can't install downloads ect.ect ect,any help would be great,thanks david
