Install GCC


I have install GCC using this proceure: YaST->Software Managent from DVD I selected gcc and so on. Is it wright ?

Seem correct, did you try to install?
Are you able to run gcc?
# gcc -v

yep i think you are doing the right things try:

Code:
# gcc --version
it will give you information the version of installed gcc.
you can try also to compile a single file. make this file with the name e.g. hello.c

Code:
#include<stdio.h>

int main(void)
{
  printf("Hello World!\n");
  return 0;
}
then compile it with the command :
Code:
# gcc -Wall hello.c -o hello.o
execute it:
Code:
# ./hello.o
Yast is avery good place to install packages. You should look there first if you want to install something
