install binutils_2.16.91.0.2-4.src.rpm


Hi Folks,

Having a bit of a problem updating my binutils. Any suggestions as to what I'm missing/doing wrong? Thanks for the help.

[root@localhost src]# rpm -Uvh binutils-2.16.91.0.2-4.src.rpm
   1:binutils               ########################################### [100%]
[root@localhost src]# rpm -q binutils
binutils-2.13.90.0.18-9

you have a src rpm, i.e. source code, and NOT a comnpiled package. your best bet is to find the i386 or i686 equivalent.
