To run as root

Get into a console and type su, then enter your root password.

They each should have instructions on installing, but most of these should be installed anyway or provided in package .

Cool get more

try
"su -m"
this will be the output:
mimithebrain h_______@h_______$ su -m
password= *******
mimithebrain H_____@h_______#

it will permit the same PATH and permit root access.

Totally cool when you use WINE and you need more permission

I'm a but I sure love to help

Whitemagician:

For an central software repository for Mandrake, I believe you need to sign up for MandrakeClub.

I didn't sign up, and suffered rpm hell because of it, so I ended up switching distros.
