Inquiry:iptables ?

Dear All
To open a port , I know that I need to go to "System -> Administration -> Security Level and Firewall" -> Other ports and then I can open port-5901 as tcp protocol . Can you please do me favor and let me know how it can be done from the command line (if my Linux OS is text-mode installed) ? (perhaps via iptables?)
Let me thank you in advance

Huh?

I don't know, what system uses the menu you describe, but it's generally a bad idea to tamper with firewall scripts you know nothing about. So either do it the way it is designed or be prepared to write a new firewall script from scratch.

Take a look at
http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/w...Using_iptables

BTW, the conf you use is just a GUI to configure iptables.
