Inporting files & folders ?

Hi everyone,

I'm changing over to Linux full time soon, but I want to know if I save my "IE favourites folder" could I inport it into Linux browser ?

Also if I save my emails & address book from "Outlook Express" will I be able to open them & inport them into a email client ?

Many thanks

Rich

kmail can use the emails from your OE client. There are several threads on it once you come upon it. If you are confused once you get there, post up your question, I'll be happy to help.

As for your "favorites" I'd think you should be able to. However, it will probably be just copying over the html files from one directory to another depending on which browser you want. Since favorites are just links to the actual sites I don't see why not though

Thank you MasterC,

I'll be installing Linux over the week end, I've got to look up more on the hardware before I install.

You're welcome Good Luck, and be sure to backup the favorites folder since that appears to be the only slight hitch I can see.

Here's one of many threads on the OE thing:
