(initramfs) bootarg


/bin/sh: bootarg: not found
then refers to help which gives a list of commands.
This is a new install of ubuntu 10.10 on a windows xp crashed program with D: recovery and a cdrw and dvd rom. HELP!

not a wubi

trying to install over xp which has crashed entirely and i don't want it on this computer.
i can use entire hdd for linux which is 80 gig hdd and 512 ddr and sd ram mem

So you are having problems running the installation? Is it a LiveCD? Does it work OK if you choose to test out using a live session?

Andrew, will not test boots and gives me option but after that it says it is loading drivers but actually is doing nothing that i can see. Just sits and runs with out loading. engine speeds up and slows but naver see the computer lite working. since last report I have 0ed the hhd and it no longer shows windows just 74.9 gig unallocated.
