Including the header file of a module in kernel code

I have written a module for adding and searching in a linked list. I have declared the structures and the function ptrs as extern in a header file and included the header file in the source code as well as the module. But when i compile the kernel it gives an error saying 'Undefined reference to ptr'

Could u plz correct me where i've gone wrong.
