wont boot back to xp
I just installed RedHat 9 last night on a new compaq cause i wanted my computer to stop telling me what to do, and stop it from selling me crap.
for the most part it went great except i must have done something wrong in identifying where winxp was for the grub booter when i try to boot into xp it starts to load (banner w/scrolling bar) then i get a different screen saying xmnt2002 not found-skipped autocheck autchk not found-skipped autocheck then it reboots this has gotten me in trouble since my sister is partial to xp and will probably kill me in my sleep if i don't get it running again the partitions are set as hda1 the compaq sys recovery hda2 windows and programs from compaq about 100gb hda3 unnasigned as far as i can tell .7mb hda4,5,and6linux 10gb linux boots fine but the compaq recovery and xp don't they are all in the grub but menu i am new at this and trying to learn so i need it as simple as possible thnx |

HARDWARE BROWSER /dev/hda hda4 7100 7294 1530 extended hda5 7100 7294 1530 linux swap hda1 1 5100 40006 ntfs hda2 5101 5113 102 ext3 hda3 5114 7099 15579 ext3 hope this helps |
