Question In RHEL5.4 client xp can not access web by domain can by ip


hi there, I have installed RHEL 5.4 connected with a pc windows xp and no other connection for learning process. Now I am facing problem with web server.I can access it from windows machine by typing ip on browser but can not by domain or host name. I had configured domain but could not connect by domain. web mail also can access by ip/webmail
ex: 192.168.0.1/webmail

now where is the problem? what should i do?

i had checked both firewall of both machine and disabled antivirus of windows machine.

Did you add the hosts in DNS or into hosts file on the Windows machine?

domain deals with name resolution not with web setup.
