Importing a LibreOffice Calc table in Impress

Hello again everyone.

When importing a table from LibreOffice Calc to Impress, it always produce an oversized object no able to fit in the slide.
When trying to re-scale it, the object is not changing size.
Trying to change the police of the characters in the table, and the table get a black background, losing the auto-format created in Calc.

For memory, this imported table is a Calc8 object.

When importing the table as a GDI metafile, it fits perfectly the slide, but is not editable anymore.

Would anyone know how to scale a Calc8 object in Impress?

Are you embedding the spreadsheet as an OLE object?

Hello frankbell, thanks for the answer and the reference page.

The table was indeed a OLE object, and I can edit it fine.

But I*wished to use the LibreOffice Impress table feature, which looks better in a slide than a OLE LibreOffice calc table.
Unfortunately, the table feature of Impress create oversized objects, and it is impossible to make them as compact as a Calc table.

Unfortunately, I have lots of experience with Calc, but almost no experience with Impress. But that bit of additional information may be helpful to someone who does know enough about both to help you.

I did take a look at the Impress "table" function. It looks to me more like a "Writer" style table--that is, fixed, not dynamic--than a dynamic spreadsheet table.
