How would I import my internet explorer favorites off of my windows partition to my mdk10.1 partition? They're both on the same hard drive (I dual-boot).

Also, I have an external Seagate 7200 RPM USB 2.0 hard drive, and I want to use some of the free, unpartitioned, unformatted space to store Linux stuff, because my laptop space is obviously limited. How do I go about partitioning the external drive in "linux format" and then using it? Do i need to "mount" the drive first or something? I don't want to format the whole hard drive (I have some windows files I can't delete).

u could easily import ur ie fav. by first opening windows and ie then choose to export ur fav.

then in mandrake in firefox or mozilla choose to import it

Actually, you should be able to format the free space as FAT32, thereby allowing both Linux and Windows to see it quite easily (I've got a similar system set up). I'm assuming here that your Linux system already has USB support turned on - if so, then all you should have to do is mount the external drive (your distro may do this automatically), then you can use fdisk in Linux to format the free space. Or, you could also do the formatting in Windows for that matter.
