Im Lost!!


Alright i dl the first part of mandrake went into nero burned an iso? wouldnt boot. Extracted the iso file copied all the files and folders burned them wont boot!! I need help lol I once did have a redhat cd that came with a howto book and it booted fine but i lost it.

in Nero, go File - Burn Image and select the iso.

That way the iso image gets written on the cd correctly therefore you will be able to boot with it.

I wanna keep windows on my machine, do i just install into a different directory?

There's plenty of topics on dual boot, try the search button.
You'll need to set aside a partition for installing Linux.
