If You Use An ASUS G75VW Notebook...

Note: I am posting here because unfortunately nobody was able to help me in! Maybe somebody on this forum ran into the same problem and knows a solution.

I am using Parted Magic 2012_11_30 (64-bit). I have an ASUS G75VW notebook with 12GB DDR3 memory, a Core i7-3610QM 2.3 GHz CPU, 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M video card, and a Blue-ray DVD-RW.

I burned Parted Magic on a DVD and tried booting up using options 1 through 4 offered by Parted Magic's initial screen. The result is that it always hangs somewhere and never finished booting up. I know that the DVD is good because I can use it without any problems on two other desktop computers that I have. So there must be some incompatibility between the ASUS notebook (hardware or BIOS?) and Parted Magic (Linux kernel?).

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get around this problem?

Do you get any mistake? At the boot try to disable ACPI (acpi=off).
