IEs4Linux 2 is developed to be used with recent Wine versions (0.9.x). It seems that you are using an old version. It's recommended that you update your wine to the latest version (Go to: winehq.com).

You are root! This is very discouraged! IE is too insecure for you to give him root access.
Want a tip from a friend? Run ies4linux as your normal user or, what's better, if you can, create a separate user just do handle your IEs.

It is insecure piece of closed source s/w. It is not hard to break in through it and running it as root is too bad.

We'll, as your error message said, it ies4linux should not be run as root. Did you try it without the sudo prefix?

You could use the firefox plugin which uses the IE renderer. It does a fantastic job of picking up all of IE's bad habits so you can fix them.

your_shadow03, it seems it's segfaulting for one or another reason. Try it as your normal user, never ever run IE as root, there's no reason to do so and you are only going to get into trouble doing so.

If that doesn't work I would read the documentation and check that the version of the required packages (specially python) are the ones required by ies4linux. If all fails I'd contact the author so the bug can be fixed upstream.
