Icons too big in ubuntu

Hey

can anyone tell me how to make text and icons smaller in ubuntu. I think the icons and words on the page are too big.

Hey,

I know in FC6, you can right click on the icon and hit 'resize icon'. If not that, there has to be a text manager somewhere to help out or try fooling around with your screen resolution, it could be off. I don't know how to change resolution in Ubuntu, though.

regards,

Brandon

If you open a nautilus window, and edit the preferences, you should see a drop-down box labled "icon size", or something similar. I usualy set it at 75%.

Check your monitor resolution, if you have problems with it, first read!!! (please read!), there is thousands of threads (and web pages, even links in the threads) about hardware configuration. Then you may ask for different support, having an idea of what it may be, remember to attach as much specifications as you can. If everything is well w/ the video card and monitor, then check the theme (in the main menu: system/theme) there you could change your fonts and sizes... (but by default they never are too big!)
Enjoy

System/Preferences/Fonts
You could also change the size and style...
