iBook Network install

Hi there!
I was just given an older iBook, a 300MHz clamshell. The firmware is the latest version.
Is there a way to do a network boot/install? I cannot find anything that will burn images under Mac OS 9.2.2. I saw something about a kind of ROM Mon (Open Firmware I think it is called) thing on Macs, so I thought that if it had network functionality I might be able to point it at an image somewhere out there to boot.
Anyway, if someone could point me in the direction of a tutorial, tell me about whatever software, or anything, I'd appreciate it a lot!
Thank you in advance!
PS: I used my desktop for everything before, like burning distros, and my other laptop got stepped on. Just thought I'd elaborate

Thank you for the links!
As it turns out, this has already been gone over on LQ... go figure :P
I took a look around and found that open firmware is a very neat thing. Sadly, this machine will not read burnt cds anyway, so I will have to wait for my pressed cd to come in the mail, or figure out how to do a diskless install.
Linux is an experience, and it is freaking fun!
