i7 driver

Is there a driver for the pentium i7 for Ubuntu? I would like to adjust it and I can not access the processor. I have used power statistics to help me look for the processor but it shows up as processor unknown.

I have no idea what you want to do but that processor support Ubuntu 64BIT. If you want to see the processor activity something like conky is what you need to search for. If you have Gnome you probably still can use the System Monitor

Good luck to you.

Thank you. Does conky allow me to adjust speeds and well pretty much what I am looking for is to get the most out of my processor Intell offers some linux drivers but none for Ubuntu11.10, would I be able to use one from OpenSuse; if so which version could I use?
