i386 or x86_64 on AMD 3400+?
Until now I have installed an i386 version on AMD 3400+. For the next, should I be looking at 64 bit version? Also, are all the apps available for that version, if I can install 64bit?
TIA.

I recommend the 64-bit ... The only app not really available is a java plugin for Mozilla ... Internet Java applets work onKonqueror, though.

Thanks Rickh. I installed 64bit version. Works like charm.
Does 64 bit version provides for any increased performance?

A 64 bit java plugin (java-1.7.0-icedtea) has now been ported. I've been using 64 bit since fedora core 4, and it works just fine. But if you have to ask then perhaps you should not try. Just install it, don't ask.
