I want to type special Characters like (суедужФ)


Hello!

I want to type special Characters like (суедужФ). In linux I can't type this character, when I used window I can type with (Alt+Num Key). In Linux how can I type this characters???

Now, I'm using RH9. With many thanks...

Well, if you need these characters regularly, you should install suitable keyboard. This takes place in the X configuration, exact way of doing this may be distribution specific. Later you can very easily change keyboards during working.
KDE and gnome should also provide little programs to help you select special characters.

Hope this helps a little bit.

If you want more complete support for a language, you could use apt-get or yum to install the kde-i18n .
For example: yum install kde-i18n-Swedish

To just use keyboard switching, go to
kde Control Center / Regional & Accessibility / Keyboard Layout ....
Under Available Layouts: add Swedish and save the settings.

You can easily switch between Swedish and English or whatever by using the keys:
Ctrl Alt k or by clicking on the language flag in system tray.
