I want to learn more

HI guys. I am farly new to linux but have been really enjoying my time with it. I find computing fun again(you know you're a geek when running commands lines is fun for you :D ). I have become quite comfortabl with linux by now(about 3 months of use) but am being held back by my lack of knowledge of the more useful commands.
Im looking for some info or a website where I can learn the most common and useful commands as a desktop user.
For the most part I have been able to get what I need done, but have come across some instances where I could have used a little more understanding of what to do. For me, the great thing about linux is its flexibility. Being able to us the GUI, but also being able to use the command line. I dont think an OS is really an OS unless you have that kind of control.
For example I would like to learn how to install/uninstall a program without the point and click. Or unpack a file or....well you know what I mean.
Thanks

I think the place to be is:
TLDB - Check my sig. They have many a lovely how-to on all sorts. It's not really possible to say 'here are some useful commands' because it all depends on what you want to do. I would suggest that if you're happy with the Point 'n' Click aspect of Linux, then you start with the 'Win/Dos to Linux' howto.

HTH and Good luck
