Or something similar where they carry computer books?
My point is that you can browse books, read a bit to determine whether or not they're covering topic data that's useful to you. Not that you can't do this at a library, but I'm thinking that there will be a greater selection at some stores.
Seems like you wish to consider Linux System Administration; however if you know little about the operating system at all, you may wish to read some introductory guides which let you know how to use it, and what the characteristics of it are from both the GUI perspective as well as the command line where you get more exposed to the resources per system. The differences there by the way are similar understanding MS-DOS commands or the registry versus just the Windows user interface.
