i want to find the startup file
 
hello all .....,
where i can find the startup file which i can add scripts taht i wanto to run it at the startup in RHL4 (red hat systems )

The kernel runs the init program to start up processes so I think you want to look in the /etc/init.d/ and /etc/rc.d/ directories for the config files.

rc.local in /etc/rc.d/init.d/ or /etc/init.d?
