i think i did something stupid with libpango ... whatever that is

i keep getting related messages to this:

Code:
/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox-0.8/firefox-bin: relocation error: /usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_type_class_add_private
basically it always says that something is wrong with libpangoft2-1.0.so.0

i cannot run totem, mozilla, firefox, you name it, it seems like everything
i tried fixing it with urpmi (I'm in mandrake) and it said it tried to uninstall a version of libpango to reinstall it but then it would just quit. i am going to download a new version of libpango and try it with urpmi and then ... i don't know, i hope that works.

edit: how do you update with urpmi, or how do you just remove something with urpmi, because i think i just have two conflicting libpango on my comp, and i need to uninstall one

edit2: figured it out, thanks for everyone's gratious help
