Well the problem isn't de md5sum, because the LiveCD 8.10 comes from Ubuntu - ShipIt. And when I do the system upgrade I usually do that from internet.
The problem remains with the LiveCD it doesn't start and remains in iniframes. However, I've done the upgrade, in the athlon xp +2400 (K7) using in the 8.04 «firmware» I installed and other particular things as I would mount a new kernel, after that I made the upgrade, and when I reboot the machine, the error in the burning CD/DVD was dissappear, I could burn CD's and DVD's.
Only I hope, with the new updates of Intrepid, I could maintain that function!
Check if your download is corrupt by running md5sum on your downloaded file/cd and compare to download web site value.
Well, try another distro, I don't think so, for the moment. The problem is something wrong with the BusyBox, but I don't install the upgrades through the livecd, I usually do that through internet.
The upgrade was sucessfully instaled, and 8.10 is working correctly with the old kernel, but I woul like to import the burning from the old kernel to the new one.
I would like to put the newest kernel working with the burning CD's.
