Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

You can't install Ubuntu on a Mac Mini: it's only available for Intel architecture, not the PowerPC. You need Yellow Dog Linux http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/products/ydl/
A look at their forum shows lots of people with Mac Minis: if you have any problems with YDL, they will be better able to help than us.

Sorry, but wrong. You can download the PPC version of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS here.
Also, as far as I understand it, nowadays Yellow Dog Linux is a commercial distro that concentrates on the Cell architecture and CUDA. I would rather recommend to go for Debian, Frugalware or one of the BSDs.

Wether there's a ppc version or not, you still need to find a way to install it. I read that macs can't boot unetbootin, so you may have to buy a external optical drive, disconnect your mouse and navigate with the keyboard through the install: if it works.
