Unhappy i need help


Hi, my name is meet. i'm from india. I hope getting much information in LQ. thanks for accept me as member.


i am heaving rhel4 version & i am not able to configure ip address & start network service due to my lan device is not active so plz any one guide me how to find rpm or tar file for RTL 8139D driver

if your device is not *activated*, theres a gui tool for that somewhere in your menus. however if indeed your *driver* is missing, you'll have to look for it.

i used gui tool for this & the same time i checked device in windows it is working in windows but in linux i am facing music

i dont understand - when you used gui tool for this, did it say "activated" next to eth0? if so, you're online. (that interface off the top of my head sounds like a pretty common one, so redhat should have the driver for it, but i dont really know)
