i need help :<


I am newbie to this mandriva 2006 linux. I just dont now how to install all the importent stuff. My friend question is that, i want to watch videos on my moozilla firefox but it says click here to get plug ins. Idk wiich of the players is the best, that will display all the videos on the website. If any1 of u guys could show me the website i could get the "Player'as well with installation. because its hard for me to figure the instalation thingy.

first download the codecs:
http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/rel...061022.tar.bz2

bzip2 -d *.bz2; tar xvf *.tar (replace * with the filename if you have more compressed archives in the directory I'm assuming it's a clean directory)

then move the codecs to the correct directory
(should be /usr/local/lib/codecs)

then download this file:
http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/rel...1.0rc1.tar.bz2

then bzip2 -d *.bz2
then tar xvf *.tar

then follow the install instructions
./configure;make;make install

the download and install the mozilla plugin
