I need expert assistance

Dear all,

I am a new linux user and a new user of this forum.
Previously i used windows 7 and my system was hacked.Someone managed my hard disk partition using HFS filesystem so that that part contains NT srever and the rest part was accessible for me and my OS installation using internal ports and sockets. It used to collect information that i used, offline cookies and everything and email all those when i am online.
I installed ubuntu but i did not get back my 500GB disk space.
It is still 465 GB.
I am expecting that the server system still running.
There is a message when i log in.

"your network has a .local domain which is not recommended and compitable with AVAHI network discovery tool and is disabled.

I run the dmesg command and copy paste the output in a document file to attach with this post.
But i can not attach the file.
It shows no files attached when i click upload from the attached option.

I need expert advice to solve the problem regarding my 500GB hard disk space and removing the local domain.
Please tell me what information you need to justify my problem.
tell me what command to write and how to attach the file for your use.
I am not an expert so that I am writing too much and sorry for that.

i run the who command and the out put is....

so you have a 500GB harddisk and you have only 465 GB free space? Or what is your problem with that HDD?

Welcome to Linux Questions.

I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you.

I'm sorry albatross437DO5B5; I do not have the experience to assist you with this matter as it is very complex.
But other members here may.

I strongly suggest that you file a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center.
This company is the IC3 is co-sponsored by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center.
https://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx

Run the dmesg in the terminal, copy it with your mouse and than click on the (#)pound sign which is next to the icon that looks like a small text document. When you click on that you will get what looks like this: [code][code] place your mouse in between those brackets and hit the return key one time. On doing so it will separate the code tags. Right click and paste in between the code tags.

The dmesg command puts forth a lot of output so you may only be able to do portions of that output.

If you have trouble posting the output you could copy it and paste it on pastebin:-
http://pastebin.com/

Some notes:
  • if you are going to post output from the computer, do it in code tags, either using the hash symbol from the line above the editing window, or add them manually
  • if you want to capture the dmesg output, for some reason, you can send it to a file (eg, dmesg > file.tmp). You can then look into that file with an editor and post selected interesting portions from the file
  • It is not necessarily a problem that the hard disk size does not line up with what you think that it should be; typically, on pre-built computers, the manufacturer will include a 'rescue partition' with a copy of the initial installation software on it, and hard disk manufacturer maths does not line up with end user maths so that 500 is not equal to 500. This causes complaints and irritation, but that's the way it has been since the beginning of time...and results in the mebibyte, or something, which no one will use.
  • there are many utils on Linux for getting info about your system; you seem to be dumping on us the output of some, whether that output is interesting or not (tbh, I gave up before making my way all through your ps command output - I saw a few things that were a bit unfamiliar, but nothing that screamed out 'hacked' at me; probably my inability to concentrate on that mass of mind-numbing stuff)
  • can we perhaps start with 'df' to get a comprehensible view of what is going on with your disk, please
  • /proc/cpuinfo shows no danger of revealing anything interesting (except, maybe, for prompting the question 'Is this a laptop?)
  • cat /proc/interrupts looks a bit unfamiliar, but it is unclear, beyond unfamiliarity whether anything worthwhile is there
  • cat /proc/filesystems doesn't look to be in much danger of being revelatory, either; that's just a list of filesystems which you could use without installing other software and that list doesn't help much (which version of Ubuntu, btw?)

Someone managed my hard disk partition using HFS filesystem so that that part contains NT srever and the rest part was accessible for me and my OS installation using internal ports and sockets. It used to collect information that i used, offline cookies and everything and email all those when i am online.

There's too little information in that to go on but it sounds more like your machine was infected with some kind of malware. If you installed Linux next to Windows then you could use Linux to scan your Windows partitions.

I am expecting that the server system still running.

What "server system"? What do you exactly mean by that?

There is a message when i log in.
"your network has a .local domain which is not recommended and compitable with AVAHI network discovery tool and is disabled.

Just disable the Avahi services for now I'd say. Having mDNS and network device autodiscovery isn't crucial to having a usable computer anyway...

I run the dmesg command and copy paste the output in a document file to attach with this post.
But i can not attach the file.
It shows no files attached when i click upload from the attached option.

No idea what's going on but to attach a file it should be plain text and the file name should have the ".txt" extension. Else you could Pastebin (or equivalent) it?

I need expert advice to solve the problem regarding my 500GB hard disk space and removing the local domain.

What does
Code:

sudo fdisk -l; sudo blkid; cat /etc/fstab; df -mh
return?
