Wink I need a book that explains how to use Linux Ubutu with examples.

I am new to Linux, but have had extensive experience on Windows. I can get into Linux, but have no idea how to program. When I read instructions in programming, it makes assumptions in knowledge I don't have. I need instructions that explain all terms and gives examples.

Are you looking for a book on using linux in general, or on programming, then? I don't of any one book that covers both basic programming and basic linux use.

You don't need to know how to program to use Linux, and you don't need to use Linux if you wish to become a computer programmer.
