Unhappy i keep reciving the error message fail to create a file system


the overview of my current configurations are as follows:
ata1 (ad0) -80.0 GB Maxtor 6Y080l0
# 1 primary 349.2 MB ufs
pri/log 2.8 GB free space
# 9 logical 157.3 F swap swap
# 10 logical 6.1 GB f ufs /home
# 5 logical 3.0 GB
# 6 logical 157.3 MB swap
# 7 logical 398.5 MB
# 8 logical 67.1 GB

Pentium II Processar
Processor Speed Mhz 333
Cache Ram 512 Kb
Total Memory 128 Mb
Hard Drive Maxotor 80Gb
Atapi Cd-rom
Hitachi Dvd-rom

Tell us what you are doing.

Are you trying to format an existing partition?
Is it unmounted?
Are you using mkfs? Another command?
What's the full command you're trying to execute?
What error message are you getting?
