Question I keep getting the error message, cannot find /usr/lib/firefox-1.0.4/icons/default.x

Let me start by saying that I am a total newbie to this linux stuff: I am running Fedora core 3 with gnome.

after I login to the system, the first thing that shows up on the desktop is an error message:
that says:

error message, cannot find /usr/lib/firefox-1.0.4/icons/default.xpm

how do I get rid of that message? Firefox works just fine and once I close the error message it never comes back, the only time I ever see it is when I first login with a user.

Thanks for any help,

hmm.. i dont know, really.
only thing id suggest to do is try and update firefox to the latest version. youll need to use your package manager to do this.
check out this link to read about your package manager in FC (called yum). after reading how it works, try and update firefox to the latest version that is supported/listed with yum.

edit: i just noticed that on the site it says that the document is for FC4.. and your using FC3. it also has a link which describes how to get it to work with FC3.. id say just try it how the FC4 document says, and if it doesnt work then do the extra step.
good luck

I have installed firefox 1.06

I have already installed firefox 1.06 and I think it is looking for usr/lib/firefox-1.0.4/icons/default. which I guess would be the icon for the old version of firefox that doesn't exist any longer.
